Moveable Wall Systems
Moveable wall systems are among the most specification-sensitive elements in any commercial interior. The acoustic performance, operational reliability, and long-term durability of a system depend entirely on the precision of its installation — not just the quality of the product. A panel that’s fractionally out of alignment, a track that isn’t level, a seal that isn’t fully engaged: none of these are product failures. They’re installation failures.
ProSpec installs moveable wall systems exclusively and in full accordance with project documentation and manufacturer requirements. We work across top-hung, bottom-rolling, and automatic systems for principal contractors operating across commercial, education, government, and corporate environments throughout Scotland.
Our process covers every stage from track fixing and structural interface coordination through to final panel alignment, acoustic sealing, and operational verification. We don’t sign off an installation until it performs to specification — and we coordinate directly with structural and finishing trades to resolve interface details before they become defects.
Maintenance and After Care
A moveable wall system or acoustic installation is a long-term asset. How it performs over time depends as much on ongoing care as it does on the quality of the original installation. ProSpec offers maintenance and aftercare for both — giving building owners, facilities managers, and principal contractors a single specialist to call on when something needs attention.
Aftercare can be arranged at the point of installation, providing planned maintenance from day one. For existing systems — including those installed by others — ProSpec can take on a maintenance agreement following an initial survey to assess the system’s condition and identify any remedial work required.
Whether it’s an annual service, a reactive repair, or an adjustment to a system that’s drifted out of alignment, we work quickly and cleanly in live environments where disruption needs to be kept to a minimum.
Defect Rectification
Not every moveable wall or acoustic system on site was installed by ProSpec. Some were installed by general contractors without the specialist knowledge the work demands. Others were installed correctly but have drifted out of tolerance over time. Either way, the result is the same — a system that doesn’t perform as it should, generating complaints, defect lists, and often significant disruption in a live environment.
ProSpec carries out targeted defect rectification and adjustment work on moveable wall and acoustic systems regardless of who installed them originally. We diagnose the root cause of the problem — whether that’s operational, acoustic, or structural — and carry out the remedial work required to bring the system back to specification.
We’re experienced in working within occupied and live environments where access is restricted, noise must be managed, and disruption to the building’s occupants needs to be kept to an absolute minimum. Rectification work is scoped clearly before we start, so there are no surprises on cost or programme.
Acoustic Wall Board Installations
Acoustic wall boards are specified because a space has a performance requirement — a noise reduction target, a speech privacy standard, a regulatory threshold. Meeting that requirement isn’t just a matter of selecting the right product. It depends on how that product is installed. Gaps at perimeters, incorrect fixing patterns, inadequate substrate preparation — any one of these can compromise the acoustic performance of an otherwise well-specified system.
ProSpec installs acoustic wall lining systems with the same discipline we bring to moveable wall installations. Every installation is carried out in accordance with the project specification and manufacturer guidelines, with full attention to the details that determine whether a system performs as designed or simply looks like it does.

Project Support & Co-Ordination
Moveable wall and acoustic systems sit at the intersection of structural, finishing, and mechanical trades. When coordination breaks down — when fixings aren’t in the right place, when interfaces aren’t resolved early enough, when nobody owns the detail — it shows up as a defect at the end of a programme. ProSpec’s site coordination and project support service is designed to prevent that.
We can be engaged as a standalone coordination resource or as part of a broader installation package. Working directly with principal contractors, site owners, and end users, we provide early-stage technical input, trade interface management, and programme-aligned support from pre-construction through to handover.
